We needed to design the experience and the style of a delivery application to be able to compete in a crowded market.

I led a comprehensive product design process, starting from understanding the existing product to reimagining it in terms of UX and UI.

My role was Product Designer, working directly with the client, the developers of the product and the potential users.

Gaming Frog (Web App + Mobile App)

We needed to design an engaging and fun product for EA Sports FIFA Players that liked to bet online with other players.This kind of products usually leads not only to online bets but to face-to-face local events of gamers community. The client found out that there was not a single product in his state that provides bets between local FIFA players and wanted to create one and be the leader in the market in that zone.

We wanted to design a cool gaming-style product in which users feel related and connected, the solution: profile pictures and dark mode! Users signed up in the mobile or web application and they were able to challenge any other player to play a match, they defined the amount of money in dispute and accorded when and below what rules to play the match (Duration, level of the teams, configurations). One important thing is that neither Xbox nor PS are allowed to fall into gambling, so the whole interaction and the statement of the match’s result depended on the users themselves. The whole product was basically and intermediary.

My role was Product Designer, working directly with the client I designed the complete flows (Low-res wire frames) and user interface of a mobile application and a Web application for bets between FIFA players.

Solution

Milio (UI + Design System)

Milio is an application focused on staff management and human resources. During a growth phase and customer acquisition, technical debt related to style usage and a lack of consistency throughout the product were identified. Additionally, it was felt that the application lacked personality, prompting a shift towards a more commercial approach.

We conducted UI and style explorations aiming for a friendlier and more colorful product. We selected a more suitable color palette with better contrast for use in charts, worked on a new information hierarchy using light gray scales for containers, and on the sizes and weights of the texts. We designed several key screens containing most of the components used throughout the product. After receiving design approval from the client, I proceeded to develop a design system that would allow the development team to create a scalable set of reusable components to enhance the application's aesthetics. The final delivery was a Figma project with the key screens and a 40-page PDF with the design specifications of all the components of the design system.

As a User Interface (UI) designer, I participated in multiple meetings with the CEO to understand his vision and define the direction forward. I also held technical meetings with the development team to comprehend the implications of implementing UI changes and to provide a feasible solution within the required timelines.

Qrvey (Web App)

We needed to design a product to import, transform, visualize, analyze and share business data.

Building this product has been a huge task of 6 years and has involved around 100 people among managers, developers, designers and QA. Consistency has been the key to achieve a solid product. In order to achieve that we have created a design System with detailed technical specs for the development team and we have generated a long list of standard and custom web components that are re-used through the whole product and allows us to control changes and improvements transversely.

Chicago Nautical is a company that provides exclusive and luxurious yacht rental services on Lake Michigan in the city of Chicago. They aimed to reach clients by conveying a reliable image, with high standards of quality and exclusivity. They focused on a social media communication strategy in order to reach a wider market.

SGI

My role was that of a Graphic Designer. I designed the logo and the necessary materials to enable the company to establish clear communication with customers and carriers, thereby facilitating business growth.

SGI Brokerage is a company that facilitates connections between transporters and cargo. The logo we designed is a synthesis of the system that emerges from this connection, representing the transportation of cargo on the roads. Arrows, extracted and simplified from a two-way traffic sign, are then connected to a destination point to symbolize this process.

One Map Education

One Map Education is a company that connects students across the globe with educational institutions in Canada, mostly around language programs. The logo I designed is a synthesis of a map opening, a symbolism of the doors that education opens to people.
